Anishinaabe Aadizokaanan : Our Teachings - Marie Eshkibok-Trudeau
FirstTelTV5 presents Segment #4 in the 'Anishinaabe Aadizokaanan' - Our Teaching video series; a partnership project with Naandwechige-Gamig Wikwemikong Health Centre.
Anishinaabe Aadizokaanan features insights, thoughts, reminders and healing guidance from some of our Knowledge Keepers in Wiikwemkoong; as we all go through this Covid-19 pandemic as community.
As we finish our series, we present Knowledge Keeper Marie Eshkibok-Trudeau. Marie is an elder and fourth degree Midewin, and is the carrier of her father's WWII Midewin Eagle Staff. She is a pipe carrier as well, a teacher, and has traveled all across Turtle Island to share her wisdom. She also has a bachelor of education degree from Nipissing University. Here, she talks about prophecy, medicines, the importance of protecting the water, and how not to give into fear in these troubling times. Miigwetch!
Directed by Kerry Assiniwe, Director of Communications and Media Services Naandwechige-Gamig Wikwemikong Health Centre. Drum song thanks to Adam and Jesse Kaboni.
