Increasing Financial Awareness For Winnipeg Seniors

Financial matters can be difficult to understand if you are not specialized in them. What do you owe in taxes? What are the different rates or services? What even is included in finances? Sometimes you may not know how to navigate the world of finances due to its complexity, and it can feel even more overwhelming as you age.

Canadian Islamic Wealth (CIW) organized a financial awareness session with Jesse Reitberger to raise awareness among Winnipeg's senior population in dealing with financial matters and simplifying them.

In this episode of Civic Platform, Jesse Reitberger explores the importance of educating seniors on financial matters, knowing their money and what they owe correctly and safely. Reitberger also explained the financial programs offered by the government, how to apply for them, and the conditions for the applicant to accept them, as each program only applies to some.

Reitberger gave an integrated lecture; he opened a space for questions and discussion and answered all the questions from the elderly that helped their financial stability in Winnipeg. Reitberger also provided a full explanation for Muslim seniors who may have religious challenges in understanding financial matters in Canada because of their interest in some programs. He introduced them to the programs they could benefit from and the ones they should avoid.
