NITV (formerly Tarriaksuk Video Centre) was registered in Igloolik in 1991 as Canada's first media arts centre in the Arctic serving Inuit. Our mandate is to protect and support Inuit culture, language and heritage. We operate Uvagut TV, Canada's first 24/7 Inuktitut television station.
