Le camping choisy va prolonger sa saison à Rigaud
After several days of closure linked to COVID-19, some facilities at the Choisy campsite in Rigaud are radiating activities. They thus give hope to the owners of the establishment, who take steps to be able to make up for lost time by extending the season.
"We surely had a 200-night stay where we could not rent our facilities. And then the clients who are seasonal here did not take advantage of their facilities. We will see what we can do for them, perhaps extend their season by a month. Thus, they will be able to win in the fall the month they lost, "said Annie Bertrand, co-owner of the company.
She does not doubt the effectiveness of this formula which consists in extending the season. Ms. Bertrand believes that with the closure of certain national borders linked to the Coronavirus, customers will be there within Quebec. “We expect more customers,” she says. “People will travel a lot in Quebec this year. We have ready-to-camp, we have several facilities that they can rent for two days or even for a week. to enjoy the camping experience. " The campsite has been in existence for 53 years and offers a variety of facilities and activities including tennis, badminton, shuffleboard and soon pickleball.
Its clients come from the region, in particular the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges. For Ontario and the North Shore too, the establishment remains a popular destination. Other visitors have been regulars at the place for several years, which is a delight to the owners of the company who present them with pleasure.
"We have seasonal clients or we are now in the 4th generation, so who have been here from the start. And then we also have traveling clients who are very loyal. I had this week, a client who has been coming here for 37 years. years ", reports the co-owner.
The strength of the Choisy campsite lies in its geographical location and the loyalty of its customers who come to breathe in the calm of nature, the suave air of Mont Rigaud.
