The City of Montreal held an executive council meeting, during which they discussed the current issues that need to be addressed. 

One of the first issues that they addressed was the granting of a contract to the not for profit organization Resto Plateau, which will distribute and deliver food to individuals detained by the Service de Police de la Ville de Montreal, for the period of March 2023 to February 2025. The goal of continuing this initiative is to fight food insecurity, while also promoting professional rehabilitation. The meals will continue to be prepared by reintegrated workers.

The city also discussed $1M being put towards the supporting of partner organizations in ecological transition, for the next few years. The city of Montreal is currently adopting a program that is anticipated by citizens. The program will last three years and will be financed of 600 000$ for 2023, which will be transferred to the Bureau de la Transition Ecologique et de la Resilience. The financing will go towards not for profit organizations, cooperatives and schools. 
With this program, the City of Montreal will be able to improve the awareness of Montrealers about the adaptation to the climate change crisis, as well as reducing greenhouse gas emissions. 

Another issue brought up by Councillor Dominique Ollivier was the need for financial support for Le Conseil Quebecois LGBTQ2+. The city will grant a financial support of 24 000$ to the organization in order to organize a forum on the issue of queer individuals being unhoused. An issue which is becoming more and more important and worrisome in Montreal.
